What is Nobli?

What’s the difference between Vaults and Echoes?

A Vault goes to the people you choose after you’re gone. An Echo is shared with everyone. Anything only for certain people belongs in a Vault.

How does posthumous delivery work?

You choose two curators, trusted people Nobli contacts if you stop answering its check-ins. Once a passing is confirmed, Nobli gently notifies the people you named, and they can keep what you left them.

Do the people I choose need Nobli now?

No. Name a Vault for them, like “My kids”, and give it to them when they join.

Is Nobli private?

Yes. Everything is private by default. Only you and the people you choose can see your records in the app, except what you choose to share with everyone.

How a Vault works

  1. Create a Vault and give it a name, like “For my grandchildren”. They don’t need Nobli yet.
  2. Add what matters. Record, write or upload, as much or as little as you like.
  3. Choose your curators, so Nobli can deliver it.
  4. It stays sealed until you’re gone, then opens only for them.

Curators: the most important step

Curators are two trusted people Nobli contacts if you stop answering its regular check-ins. They help Nobli confirm a passing. Without curators, Vaults and Echoes can’t be delivered.

In the app, only you and the people you choose can see what you’ve saved.

How we protect it

  1. Private by default. Nothing is shared unless you decide.
  2. Only your people. Only you and the people you choose can see your records in the app, except what you share with everyone.
  3. Your personal key. When you sign up, Nobli gives you 12 words. Keep them in your Notes and on paper, like a spare house key.
  4. Opened only for the people you name, after you’re gone.
